Exam Performance Enhancement

Exam Performance Enhancement

Common Concerns of Exam Takers:
• Getting “stage fright” or going blank in the exam room.
• Fear that past failure in exams could predict future failure.
• Fear blocking the study and preparation process.

An extremely successful realtor who retired with financial independence after 7 years in the field, was giving a headliner speech with Zig Ziglar and other success stars. He shared that it took him 3 tries to pass the realtor exam.He then asked the huge audience to stand if it took them more than 1 try to pass their exam. Hundreds stood up. He asked people to remain standing if it took them 3 efforts to pass, 4, 5 and so on. The “last one standing” passed on his 7th try. The whole auditorium gave him a standing ovation.

This very encouraging story of persistence demonstrates that success in passing tests the first time doesn’t necessary predict success in one’s field.

But nevertheless, most of us would prefer passing the first time!

There are strategies for doing well that come from much success literature.  When this is augmented by EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) performance protocols, it can be a great help. They can help you prepare for the exam in a positive, calm and balanced way. And your EMDR Performance Specialist can help you to mentally rehearse the entire attitude, posture, and state of relaxation in which you will execute the exam, maintaining time awareness, and accessing your intelligence along the way.

Sometimes our mental blocks and mental “static” in the study and exam process relate to past negative experiences, which we may or may not consider significant. Thus, a trauma therapist is a great resource for assisting in desensitizing those distressing memories.

If this kind of support and guidance appeals to you, we invite you to call one of our EMDR specialists today.
