Taking your Life Back from Chronic Pain

Chronic pain.If you have been lucky enough to never experience this, you have no idea how wearing it is. Chronic pain can change your personality. It can damage your relationships. It can even make you suicidal.
Pain management has improved over the last ten years. The drugs have gotten better. Other treatment options, like biofeedback, have begun to really help. Studies have shown that acupuncture can have a tremendous impact of the pain level.
As I have studied chronic pain, I realized that pain can be stored as emotions. Emotions can be stored as pain. Psychotherapy can make a huge difference in your ability to cope with chronic pain.
There is one type of therapy, EMDR, that appears to really help break the pain/emotion connections. I have been able to help people who have suffered for years with chronic pain to begin instead to live their lives again. It is very exciting to see people be able to get their lives back, their relationships back, their personalities back.
