EMDR is a therapy that helps the brain to calm old events, which helps the brain to discard false negative beliefs easily, rather than by intense disciplined effort. And spontaneously, true positive beliefs emerge about you. The body let’s go of it’s physical way of saying “I’m scared. I had a bad experience in the past. I’m worried it will happen again.”
I had my first session in 1997, and found my fear about one issue was quickly gone. I immediately decided to become an EMDR therapist.
