I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I have worked in the counseling field in Seattle for over 15 years in various clinical settings dealing with persons of all ages, diverse ethnic, religious, cultural background and sexual orientation including over 10 years as a Mental Health Practitioner and Affiliate Faculty at the University of Washington.

I am a Cognitive-Behavioral Systems Therapist and I integrate a variety of approaches including Brief/Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems/Family of Origin, Object Relations, and Cross-Cultural.I provide counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families.

 

I believe in the human potential of each individual. I use approaches that help clients liberate themselves from obstacle that block their happiness. I offer experiential strategies and practical tools to cultivate mindful healing and thus create positive outcomes. I help clients unfold deeply into their ways of being and help transform their lives from destructive beliefs, behavioral patterns, negative energy, and emotional distress, towards integration, balance and harmony. My goal is to provide a safe environment for direct engagement and conversation between me and my clients supporting their journey towards resilience, lasting growth, and mental well-being.

I specialize in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, loss of grief, and life transitions using Mindfulness Practice and EMDR.

 

Mindfulness is a practice of living in the present, of becoming aware of one?s thought processes and allowing oneself to observe his or her thoughts and compassionately without judgment or being ruled by them.

 

EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization, Reprocessing) Therapy is an information processing that helps clients develop adaptive mechanisms in order to cope with anxiety, trauma, addiction, phobias, to reduce the lingering negative influence of their own mental world.

Fee Information and Payment Policies:

I charge $115 to $125 for a 50-minute session. If you have insurance, you may have coverage for therapy. Before your first appointment, please check with your insurance company to determine your rate of coverage, outstanding

Deductible, allowed number of sessions, and co-payment amount. Co-payments are due at the time of each visit. I will assist you in submitting your bills to your insurance company. If you are unable to attend a session, please provide notification within 48hours or you may be billed.
